Dr. Salma Aziz, D.P.M, M.S., has been a top podiatrist in Newport Beach and the Rancho Santa Margarita community since the original practice opened in November 2001. That’s why we founded the Women Physicians of Orange County Organization to promote the professional development of women in the healthcare industry in Orange County. We strive to empower each other by advocating for women to study and practice medicine, providing nurturing mentorship programs, and developing community outreach projects for Orange County.

Our Team:

Dr. Salma Aziz is known as one of the best podiatrists in Newport Beach. As an American Board of Podiatric Surgery Fellowship member and a trusted staple of her community, Dr. Aziz proudly serves patients with her deep experience and time-tested practices. She was a Diplomate for the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in 2009 and a Fellow for the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons in 2009. Dr. Aziz obtained an American Board of Podiatric Surgery Degree and is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Orange County Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Yokay and Dr. Arneson were Division 1 athletes in gymnastics and softball, giving them the understanding and mindset of athletes in their work as sports medicine specialists. As a former gymnast, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Petrina Yokay understands and relates to her foot and ankle patients. Dr. Arneson attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she was captain of the 2013 Division 1 Ivy League Championship softball team that went on the play in the NCAA Championship Tournament.

Dr. Jessica Arneson completed her surgical fellowship with The CORE Institute, a prominent orthopedic surgery group in Phoenix, Arizona. During her year with this top surgical fellowship, she focused on total ankle replacements, sports medicine, ankle arthroscopy, ankle and foot fracture management, and complex hindfoot and ankle reconstruction.

Dr. Petrina Yokay is a foot and ankle surgeon at two locations in Orange county. She completed her residency training at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital. With her extensive training in trauma and arthroscopic surgery and forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction surgery, Dr. Yokay was honored to be the Chief Resident in the final year of her residency training.
